What is the separate size of the New Zealand North and South Islands?

What is the separate size of the New Zealand North and South Islands?
New Zealand's two main components are the North Island and the South Island, separated by Cook Strait. The North Island (44,281 sq mi; 115,777 sq km) is 515 mi (829 km) long and volcanic in its south-central part. This area contains many hot springs and beautiful geysers. South Island (58,093 sq mi; 151,215 sq km) has the Southern Alps along its west coast, with Mount Cook (12,316 ft; 3754 m) the highest point. And has some of the worlds most stunning scenery.

I hope this helps.

A good place to stay in Townsville are the Castle Hill Holiday Units, I have spent about 6 months there total. It's in a good location. You may want to also look into the Hotel Allen, it's right across the street. Unless you plan on spending all your time on a golf course. The Quality Inn would be closer to the courses for a golfing holiday.

What is the origin of the Maoris of New Zealand?

What is the origin of the Maoris of New Zealand?
New Zealand was one of the last areas of the planet to be reached by humans. Polynesian voyagers are believed to have migrated to what is now New Zealand from eastern Polynesia in the latter part of the 1st millennium. Māori origins therefore cannot be separated from those of their Polynesian ancestors (for more information see Polynesian culture). Archaeological and linguistic evidence (see Sutton 1994 cited in References section below) suggests there were probably several waves of migration from Eastern Polynesia to New Zealand between 800 and 1300. Māori oral history describes their arrival from Hawaiki (a mythical homeland in tropical Polynesia) by large ocean–going canoes (waka). Some say Hawaiki encompasses all the islands in the Pacific. During the 19th and early 20th centuries, the idea arose that Māori had voyaged to New Zealand in the so-called 'Great Fleet of 1350AD' which claims that seven canoes arrived simultaneously.

There's a spot outside the Speedwell Cavern in the Derbyshire Peak District where I first went as a child that has it all for me. scenic beauty, ruggedness, majesty, mystery, the open air and people coming and going to remind me of all the wonderful folk who have passed through my life.
Anywhere in Japan or Korea because I havent been there before.
Galapagus Islands 7 day boat trip
my mother's place.I'd go wherever she is if I had one week left to live.
well first and foremost dont get too touchy about the 7 day thing, because you know exactly how long you have, its better than not knowing and getting killed in a moment, so try to enjoy yourself and have fun, dont go to a place where it is too quite or where only scenic beauty soothes the eye, go to a place where you can completely open up and maybe become a kid again, how about Hong Kong??its beautiful, fun filled, a little expensive (which you can afford if you are dying soon) and you will never get bored.and if you are lucky, u may learn a few chinese words before you die, if the pronounciation doesnt kill you in advance..

    Emu?
We are called Kiwi's because of the flightless bird - the Kiwi. I'd say its our official bird.
    Yes it is the Kiwi:
The kiwi is New Zealand's national icon and part of our image world-wide. New Zealanders have been "Kiwis" since the days of the First World War. It's a nickname bestowed by fellow Australian soldiers, and it stuck. Today our identity as Kiwis is based around our national bird.

They weigh between 7 and 11kg , eat mostly carrion, can run up to 25 km per hour, and raise their young in a pouch. The Warner Bros. Tasmanian Devil (Taz for short) is - a strong murderous beast, jaws as powerful as a steel trap, has ravenous appetite, eats tigers, lions, elephants, buffaloes, donkeys, giraffes, octopuses, rhinoceroses, and moose." He also eats chickens, ducks, and especially rabbits.

    Tazmanian Devil! Fun!
The Tasmanian Devil. It is a real animal. It is small about the size of a dog's puppy. It has a iron-like grib with its jaw that holds onto its prey. It sound it makes is like a rough growl with a sore throat - a nasty sound. The cartoon image has enlarged the Tassie Devil and made him stand upright and twirl. The real animal walks on four legs. If you came across one in the wild he would probably stay away from you but you would definite not try to pick it up.

At the northern end of the rugged Ducane Range, Mount Ossa, along with several other peaks surpassing 5,000 feet, lies within Cradle Mountain–Lake St. Clair National Park. Its slopes are deeply gouged by glacial corries (cirques). The name, with the adjacent Mounts Pelion and Achilles, is taken from Greek mythology.

Mt. Ossa, whose peak, the Federation Peak (1300 m high or just over 4000 feet), is surrounded by cliffs. These cliffs reach 600m to the north and south and the only feasible approach is along the two razorback ridges. Even then, the final 200m is a near vertical climb. It is normally climbed without ropes but this is dangerous. There have been several fatalities already.

To drive from Flinders St Station in Melbourne to Central Station in Sydney is about 880 km and will take you about 9 and a half hours if you drive straight through, which I wouldn't recommend.

what is the differences in time between australia and united states of america?
That's too broad of a question. You need to be more specific in regards to which state in the US and which city in Australia. i.e time in New York vs. Sydney
what is the differences in time between australia and united states of america?
Choose the two cities you are interested in on the World Clock website below.
Choose the two cities you are interested in on the World Clock website below.
From what I understand, there is about a 10 hour difference in time. For instance, From Kyogle Australia to my Town in Washington State there is about a 10 hour difference. The Archer:
go to timeanddate.com they have all the info you could want
type in "local time sydney" into yahoo search or obviously the city in australia you are interested in - and will give you the local time so you can compare to your own time
Remember that it's changing all the time. Since the two continents are in differenct hemisphers the difference is (normally) offset by two hours each time the two go into or emerge from daylight savings time. (one 'springs' forward as the other 'falls' back)

For example during part of the year the time difference between New York and Sydney is 16 hours, and the rest it's 14 hours (or 8 and 10 hours, depending on which direction you move around the globe).

What is the cost of living on the Gold Coast. Considering a driving Vacation from Sydney to Brisbane in Sept.

What is the cost of living on the Gold Coast. Considering a driving Vacation from Sydney to Brisbane in Sept.
It is notmuch different from your cost. Just calulate 10% more expense because you will definitely need gas to drive and you will need places to stay. So considering that you already know the general costs of motels, the actual final bill depends on your spending power. Some people like me, for example buy more when I am on holidays whether I am driving, taking the train or the plane. Make a budjet and stick to it. Also, since you have the car, you can actually travel with things like a small kettle and some tin stuff that you like. Buy fresh fruit whereever you stop and you can do your own little shopping so you don't have to eat in the restaurant three times a day. its a lovely trip from Sydney to Brisbaine. You are choosing a great time to do it too. Usually very good weather conditions at this time.

The real Tasmanian Devil is a small animal existing solely within the confines of Tasmania , a large island off the southwestern tip of Australia.

It is normally climbed without ropes but this is dangerous. There have been several fatalities already.

I wanted to know what is the exact procedure to get Permanent resident Visa for Australia. Under category- Hairdresser.
What is the procedure to get Permanent resident visa for Australia?
To apply for General Skilled Migration to Australia you will need to satisfy a points test - as long as you have 6 years experience as a hairdresser, have good English, are aged under 45 years and have been working for 3 out of the last 4 years you should satisfy the points test.

Once you are confident that you pass the points test the first stage of the application process is to get your skills assessed through Trades Recognition Australia.

Once your skills are deemed suitable for mgiration by TRA you can apply to the Department of Immigration & Multicultural Affairs for migration.

If you would like me to assess your eligibility properly you can email me on answers@visalogic.net

what is the population of the Brisbane, Australia area?
Ah, but just what encompasses Brissie? It's now a little like LA, does it end in Caboolture? Does it extend right to Noosa? Does it stretch to as far the border of NSW? I think it's now one of the world's biggest satellite cities, or at least getting that way!

what is the phone mumber for Quality Inn Hotel Southbank Townsville, Australia?

Ireland. I would love to go back and tour all of Ireland, but I would wanted to be taken around by someone who is native to each city/town/village I would visit. Also, I would love to make sure that my family came and got to enjoy their remaining time with me.

There is not really an official flower for NZ but the pohutukawa is most probably close enough. silver fern is not a flower.
there isn't one but if we had to choose

it would either be the flowers of
the pohutukawa tree or the kowhai tree

    Casoar?
Today our identity as Kiwis is based around our national bird.

what is the name of the real animal in australia which (Taz)the cartoon character represent?

what is the name of the real animal in australia which (Taz)the cartoon character represent?
The real Tasmanian Devil is a small animal existing solely within the confines of Tasmania , a large island off the southwestern tip of Australia.

I love that line! The first link below is about the real Tasmanian Devil and the second is about Taz and all his buddies. Have a Great Day!
what is the name of the real animal in australia which (Taz)the cartoon character represent?
The animal that Taz represents is the Tazmanian Devil. It is actually a very tiny animal. It is not nearly as wild as the cartoon character Taz. It is from Tazmania, a section of Australia.
